Believe it or not, I think we are entering my favorite season for grilling: Fall! I just love grilling outside when it is a little crisp and not blazing hot. Most people associate grilling with summer, but fall is truly for grilling! I like a good hamburger or hot dog as much as the next guy, but sometimes I get bored of those things and want something different. Here’s a list of my go-to alternatives for hamburgers that are SO delicious!

While many appetizers are great on the grill (like grilled jalapeno poppers or grilled salsa), I tried to keep this list focused on recipes that can truly take the place of a hamburger. In other words, they will be the centerpiece of your meal!

I hope you can find something delicious to grill on this list!

This list was kind of hard for me to make because even though I’ve grilled dozens of things over the years (possibly hundreds), hamburgers and hot dogs do hold a special place in my heart. I love their ease and flexibility so this list is not meant to be a shun of the classics!
