Waffles are one of the easiest quick breakfasts to make. For this recipe you can use a lot of different flours. I packed mine full of banana and walnut!
Equipment
waffle maker
Ingredients

Cups
all-purpose flour

Cup
oat flour
,
sub for your favorite flour

Tablespoon
sugar
1
Tablespoon
baking powder

Eggs

Cups
milk or buttermilk

Tablespoons
unsalted butter
,
melted and cooled slightly
Pinch
of salt
1
banana
,
mushed up
½
Cup
walnuts
,
crushed
2
Tablespoons
poppy seeds
Instructions
Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Mix wet ingredients (eggs/milk/butter) in a smaller bowl.
Whisk wet ingredients into dry ingredients until well combined. The batter should be thick, but not dry or clumpy.
Stir in any add-ins that you want.
Heat up waffle iron and spray it with nonstick spray or rub it down with some oil.
Add batter to iron (½ cup is a good start) and cook until waffle is crispy and golden brown, about 5 minutes.
Serve with butter, honey, syrup, or jams.
