These turkey sliders are the perfect game day appetizer! Pesto mixed in with the turkey keeps it juicy and flavorful and these are baked with a layer of marinara and cheese. Serve it on a toasted slider roll and you are in business!

Ingredients
Turkey Slider Mixture:
1poundground turkey
¼cuppesto, store-bought is fine
¼cupItalian Breadcrumbs
1teaspoondried onion
½teaspoonred pepper flakes
½teaspoonkosher salt
½teaspoonblack pepper
Slider Basics:
12slider buns, potato or brioche is best
¼cupmayonnaise, divided
4ouncesmozzarella cheese, grated
¼cupmarinara sauce, divided
Fresh basil leaves
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450˚F. In a medium bowl, combine slider mixture - turkey, breadcrumbs, pesto, and spices. Mix well.
Line a large baking sheet with foil and spray it with nonstick spray. Divide slider mixture into 12 even patties. Each one should be about 2 tablespoons. Press them into patty shapes, not balls.
Bake the sliders at 450˚F for 12-15 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 170˚F.
Meanwhile, cut slider buns in half and place them cut side up on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for five minutes.
When sliders are done, top each with a teaspoon of marinara and a handful of grated cheese. Return to the oven for a few minutes.
When buns are toasted, smear the bottom bun with a small amount of mayo (1 teaspoon). Top with a basil leaf.
When sliders are done, remove and place a slider on each prepared bun. Serve immediately.
